CPB Contractors has delivered Rio Tinto’s three Sustaining Works packages in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The project involved the movement of 1.4 million cubic metres of bulk earthworks for a laydown and production hub, construction of LV and HV haul roads featuring grade separations through tunnel and bridge structures, construction of a bridge over rail featuring an MSE wall and steel girder with concrete deck, pit development and water supply infrastructure and drainage systems.
The delivery of this project was underpinned by the highest commitment to safety and quality standards and provided significant training and employment opportunities for local communities and Indigenous enterprises.
CPB Contractors acknowledges the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people as the traditional and continuing custodians of the lands on which the packages of work were delivered.
