Upgrade works from Tuggerah to Doyalson
CPB Contractors worked with Roads and Maritime Services to deliver the M1 Pacific Motorway widening project between Tuggerah and Doyalson in the Central Coast region of New South Wales.
Our highly experienced team focused on delivering an efficient and effective construction program, and using proven traffic management and innovative construction methodologies to minimise disruption and maximise safety for road users.
Through strategic procurement and partnering arrangements, we also delivered a value for money project that provided opportunities for local workers and businesses.
Upgrade works included:
- Widening the 12km section between Wyong Road, Tuggerah, and the Doyalson Link Road to three lanes in each direction, including the reconstruction of a 9km section of carriageway to provide an upgraded and more durable road surface;
- Improvements to key interchanges at Warnervale and Doyalson; and
- The widening of existing bridges at Sparks Road and St Johns Road.
The M1 Pacific Motorway is a critical link in the National Land Transport Network and part of the Sydney to Brisbane corridor, one of the busiest transport corridors in Australia.
The project was completed in 2019.
