In June 2024, CPB Contractors as part of the Woomera Redevelopment Joint Venture (WRJV) achieved non-rejection of the 30% Concept Design milestone for the Woomera Redevelopment Project. This milestone forms an integral part of the Department of Defence's stage of work, which the WRJV will continue throughout the Project’s Planning Phase.
CPB Contractors Project Manager Maddalena Gabrielli explains the delivery team's focus has shifted to finalising the design of the South Australian project and ensuring all details align with the Department of Defence’s objectives.
“The next stage involves the WRJV collaborating with key stakeholders in comprehensive workshops. These workshops serve as forums for consultation and refinement to ensure the design aligns with the National Defence Strategy.”
The Woomera Range Complex is in South Australia, approximately 450 kilometres north-west of Adelaide.
Subject to Government and Parliamentary approvals, a Delivery Phase consisting of upgrades to buildings, services and infrastructure is expected to follow.
The Woomera Redevelopment Project is focused on repair and upgrade of infrastructure and facilities to support the capabilities of the Australian Defence Force preparedness and effectiveness at the Woomera Range Complex.
