CPB Contractors is committed to maximising the positive social value its projects bring to the communities in which it operates.
As part of the delivery of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport’s Fleurieu Connections project, CPB Contractors and Alliance partners have helped a South Australian community men’s shed expand and enhance its essential services to the community.
The Fleurieu Connections Alliance project team nominated the Aldinga Bay Community Shed as their charity of choice for 2023 and, as a result, donated more than $5,000 of revenue from their site vending machines to the local men’s shed.
The Aldinga Bay Community Shed is a not-for-profit that provides a space for men to connect and engage while giving back to the community.
CPB Contractors Alliance Director Justin Redlinghuys said the donation was another way the project team is working to support people and leave a legacy within the community.
“When our work on this project has finished, we want to look back and be proud of the legacy we’ve left in the community and donations like this that allow us to do just that.”
CPB Contractors is delivering the Main South Road Duplication Stage 1 as part of the Fleurieu Connections Alliance with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Aurecon and GHD. The project involves duplicating approximately 10 kilometres from south of Griffiths Road, Seaford to Aldinga. This includes the addition of two new lanes in each direction, as well as the widening of shoulders and the construction of new median barriers.
