CPB Contractors, Australia’s leading construction company and a member of the CIMIC Group, has launched its two-year Undergraduate Program and one-year Fast Track Graduate Program.
The new industry-first Undergraduate Program takes a progressive approach to talent development. It offers high-performing university students in their second last year of study the opportunity to practice the theoretical skills they are learning as they complete a two-year program working across CPB Contractors operations. Over this two-year period, students work through the learning plan of a typical first-year graduate.
The flexible program can be tailored to each participant's university commitments, with the option to work part-time, full-time, or a combination of both.
Upon successfully completing the Undergraduate Program, participants are eligible for CPB Contractors’ one-year Fast-Track Graduate program. This program taps into the learning that they’ve already completed and progresses them into full-time roles such as Site Engineers, Safety Coordinators, Human Resources Coordinators, and Environment Coordinators in just 12 months, as opposed to a traditional two-year Graduate Program.
Recently, CPB Contractors celebrated the accomplishments of its inaugural cohort of 22 Fast Track Program Graduates, who have successfully secured full-time roles across Australia, with a development and graduation day. The event featured in-depth discussions on the emerging New Energy sector, an insightful panel discussion with Executive leaders who shared their unique career journeys and advice for success, and a networking luncheon.
CPB Contractors' training and development commitment is creating more opportunities for people to build successful careers in construction across Australia and New Zealand. The Undergraduate Program and Fast Track Graduate Program sit alongside many other training, development, and recruitment initiatives. These include the Women in Construction Program, Project Fundamentals, an in-house development course, and the game-changing Institute of Applied Technology—Construction courses, developed in partnership with leading education providers in New South Wales.
