CPB Contractors’ Courtland Williams, a Safety and Health Manager delivering METRONET’s Thornlie-Cockburn Link project, has been named Safety Professional of the Year at the Civil Construction Federation’s (CCF) Industry and Training Awards.
Recognised for his outstanding leadership and effort to cultivate a strong safety culture on site each day, the receipt of this award is a testament to Courtland’s proactive management skills.

With a focus on consultation and education, Courtland has played a key role in cultivating the project’s strong safety culture. His hands-on approach—underpinned by prioritising consultation and education—has not only improved his team’s understanding of Safety Essentials but also enhanced the quality of the safety conversations taking place on site each day.

CPB Contractors is delivering two METRONET projects for the State Government - the Yanchep Rail Extension and the Thornlie-Cockburn Link. The Yanchep Rail Extension extends the Joondalup line north from Butler to Yanchep and involves the construction of three new stations to support the growing population.
