CIMIC Group’s CPB Contractors has been selected by the South Australian Government, as part of the Fleurieu Connections Alliance, with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport, Aurecon and GHD, to deliver the Main South Road Duplication 2 (MSRD2) Project.
The contract will generate revenue of approximately $200 million to CPB Contractors.
CPB Contractors’ construction of MSRD2 will include the delivery of a six-kilometre duplication road between Aldinga Road and Sellicks Beach Road in the south of Adelaide, this extension project will improve safety, traffic flows and connectivity for the Southern Fleurieu community.
CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “CPB Contractors has the experience to safely and reliably deliver the Main South Road Duplication 2 Project. This is a significant productivity enhancing project for regional South Australia that will ensure a safer and faster journey for motorists, while providing a vital boost for local tourism.”

Due for completion in early-2026, works include urban design, services installation, staging or temporary works, construction of civil and structures, including a new interchange at Aldinga, installation road monitoring cameras and variable message sign (VMS) board, and landscaping.
