Emily shines as a woman in construction
CPB Contractors Civil Engineer Emily White has been named the 2018 CIMIC Group Graduate of the Year, jointly claiming the accolade with Daniel Mann, Civil Engineer with Thiess.

Emily, along with all our 2016 graduates, has successfully completed the two-year program and entered the next phase of her career at the Westconnex New M5 project, the largest tunnelling site in Sydney.
Presenting Emily with her certificate, CPB Contractors Managing Director Juan Santamaria said: “Emily is high performing, dedicated and enthusiastic – she shows exceptional initiative and seeks opportunities to expand her experience and skills.
“We are very proud of Emily and of all of our graduates, who make significant contributions to our operations, as well as to the diversity of our business.”
Emily added: “Two years of hard work have culminated in this award, and I’m so grateful for the amazing team around me that has supported my development and given me every opportunity to continue to grow into the best engineer I can be.”
About Emily
Emily joined CIMIC Group in 2012 and took a graduate position with CPB Contractors in February 2016. She has a Civil Engineering degree with First Class Honours from the University of Technology Sydney.
At North West Rail Link and now at the New M5, Emily shows exceptional initiative and actively seeks opportunities to expand her skill-set, including complex tunnel excavation.
Emily has been undertaking a CERT IV in leadership and management, she is a role model and mentor to her peers, and actively encourages women to join our industry.
